It was both an honour and a privilege to be invited to speak at the UK Coaching Conference at Loughborough University.
We delivered our coaches workshop, ‘Engage – how to build positive relationships with your players’ parents’ to two different audiences during the course of the day.
Coaches in the room represented the following sports: football, shooting, netball, lacrosse, hockey, swimming, athletics, touch rugby and basketball.
This led to many great moments with coaches sharing stories and experiences and things that had worked well for them in this specific area. We hope that coaches found plenty to take away and put into use out in the field.
The learning lounge was a hive of activity throughout the event and it was great to hear from keynote speakers including Frank Dick OBE, Tony Minichiello and Anna Stembridge.
It was a fantastic event put together by UK Coaching and it was so empowering seeing so many coaches connecting, developing and trying to improve their coaching craft.
