The ‘Parents in Sport’ podcast will hit the airwaves later this month and there is a real buzz around it’s launch.
The monthly show will kick off Season One with Denise Lewis OBE and has an amazing line up of speakers including Baroness Tanni Gray-Thompson, Liz McColgan, Scott Hann MBE and Andrew Guy(father of GB swimmer James).
The first episode will be released to coincide with ‘National School Sport Week’ and the tremendous work being done by our partners at the Youth Sport Trust on Monday 22nd June.
The first season of 12 episodes will cover a number of different topics including sports parenting, coaching your own children and running an effective parental engagement programme, tapping into the knowledge and experience of some of sports leading figures as well as those at grassroots level to help support the whole sporting community.
CEO Gordon MacLelland said, “We are delighted to launch this podcast and are hugely excited by the line up of guests who have already agreed to come on to the show. It is something that has been in the pipeline for a while and we are thrilled to finally bring it to fruition. Each season will cover different topics in different formats to give listeners the very best information and knowledge to help support them. It is going to be another valuable resource in helping our work to support organisations, parents and coaches in working together to provide children with the best possible sporting experiences.’
