WWPIS are delighted to announce formally the details of our partnership with Swim Ulster. A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes over the last six months and we are really excited about rolling out the project.
We have created customised resources for coaches and parents, as well as a customised website specifically for Swim Ulster coaches and parents.
Mentors have been trained to deliver the WWPIS workshops and they will be starting immediately in the swimming community.
The ‘ENGAGE’ coaches workshop is also forming part of this years level II coaching award and it is great to see a number of organisations looking at including this as part of CPD or indeed as part of a formal coaching qualification.
Ruth McQuillan(Swim Ulster Club/Coach Development Officer) told us,’We are very excited to be rolling out these programmes and know they will have a huge impact on coaches and parents.
We want our young members to love being part of their club and have a fun and exciting sporting journey.
Clubs, coaches and parents working together in harmony, with effective support, is the key to making this happen.’
